Tisa Smart-Washington took office as Rockdale County Tax Commissioner in 2017 after serving as Chief Deputy Tax Commissioner in Rockdale for 4 years.

She was re-elected in 2020. Prior to joining the Tax Commissioner’s Office, Tisa served as Communication Writer in the Office of the CEO of DeKalb County and Editor of the Rockdale News.
