#WATCH | Muzaffarnagar, UP: Senior Superintendent of Police, Sanjay Kumar Verma says, "A tip-off was received. Based on this information... we raided the place. 12 people were rescued from a factory in Mandi village, under the Titavi police station. They had serious injuries on their bodies. They said they had been held hostage there for one and a half to two years. By luring them with Rs 10,000 to 12,000, they lure them from railway stations, bus stands, and other locations in the name of jobs... They only give them bread once a day... They confiscate their mobile phones for days, don't let them talk or go anywhere... They also kept some iron, which they heated and tortured them with. They also used belts as whips... It is even reported that some people died during this torture... The police will ensure strict action against the perpetrators. The two people arrested are Shiva Tyagi and Pradeep Balyan..." (23.06)
