@moodybins hey sorry to message here, I just found your podcast and I think it's so great. Not sure if you're podcasting anymore, but happy to follow your next project wherever that is
My heart hurts today 💔
My little girl’s neck looks like this, and the redness keeps getting worse right in front of my eyes 😔
Every time I see her like this, I feel so helpless and scared for her.
As a writer, I believe the greatest moment of joy is to hold your book in your hands, to turn its pages, to breathe in the scent of paper and ink, and to see it complete before you bearing witness to what you have poured of your soul into it so that, at last, you can touch the value of what you’ve made.
But as a Gazan, I am denied this moment; I cannot hold my book, nor can I even see it…
As if my book was born only to remain far from my hands, and close to my heart alone.
The picture was sent to me by a friend.
Anthony Bourdain holding a Palestinian baby, during his visit to Palestine (2013)
“The world has visited many terrible things on the Palestinian people, none more shameful than robbing them of their basic humanity.” - Tony Bourdain
A 4 year old child carries two gallons of water, heavier than his own weight, under the storm, with bare feet, over a very long distance.
This scene captures the life of children here in the Gaza tents.
worlds most “moral army” consistently committing the most immoral acts against the most vulnerable of human beings. they are profoundly soul rotted & it is a constant shock to the system to witness still
Out of Cuba now otw home and finally have access to the internet
I’m having a hard time putting into words the thoughts I have on my experience there the past couple days. The level of cruelty that the oil blockade the US imposes on the day-to-day lives of everyday Cubans cannot be overstated. Everyday conveniences and essential services that we take for granted are completely non-existent. Entire systems, that were already dilapidated by decades of sanctions and restrictions from participating globally, start to break down exponentially when you remove fuel from the equation.
The innovation required to accomplish the most basic tasks is astounding. People existing at night in complete darkness from the blackouts, just trying their best to lead normal lives in spite of the lack of power.
Yet every Cuban person I met was extremely kind, patient, and welcoming. The resilience the people of the island have is extremely admirable and heartbreaking to witness.
Cuba is a beautiful place with amazing people and insane potential. What the US has done to that island is shameful and nothing short of inhumane
cuban doctors told me they have to sew up patients mid surgery when the generators run out of gas but maga on here are too busy lying about the ppl that went out to cuba w aid to turn everything into a distractive spectacle. pure maga propaganda. you’re cattle if you fall for it.
Israeli forces reportedly tortured a 1-year-old boy in Gaza to pressure his father into making confessions at a military checkpoint.
The child was released after nearly 10 hours, but the father remains in Israeli custody.
💢 GAZA | March 23, 2026
Israel killed 9 Palestinians and injured 30 across Gaza over the three days of the Eid holiday, including three civilian police officers assassinated in a targeted strike on their vehicle.
🔹On Monday, Israeli forces shot and wounded two Palestinians in Beit Lahia and Jabalia al-Balad in northern Gaza. Israeli naval forces also set a fishing boat on fire off the coast of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza (see video below).
🔹Separately, 11 Palestinian detainees were released from Israeli prisons and transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah. Israel continues to hold some 14,000 Palestinians in its network of torture camps.
🔹Reports from the weekend detail the detention and torture of a 1-and-a-half-year-old child, Kareem Abu Nassar, during an Israeli operation near Al-Maghazi in central Gaza. According to family accounts shared by local media, Israeli soldiers detained the father, Osama Abu Nassar, separated him from his son, and stripped and interrogated him at a checkpoint. During this time, the child was reportedly tortured in front of his father to coerce a confession—burned with cigarettes and pierced with a metal object—before being released after roughly 10 hours via the Red Cross. The father remains in Israeli custody.
🔹The total death toll since October 7, 2023 has reached 72,263 killed and 171,944 wounded. Since October 11, the first full day of the so-called ceasefire, Israeli forces have killed at least 687 Palestinians and wounded 1,845 more. Another 756 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The US economy is in a hiring recession.
Almost no jobs have been added since April.
Wage gains are slowing.
710,000 more people are unemployed now versus November 2024.
November +64,000 jobs
October -105,000 (impacted by shutdown)
September +108,000
August -26,000
July +72,000
June -13,000
May +19,000
I believe it's a combination of tariff impacts, AI, and cost cutting. Americans are feeling it. #jobs

"You got me at a bad time..." Attorney John Albert.
OK Death row inmate Tremane Woods' life is in Governor Stitt's hands. His attorney had a drug addiction and did not provide a defense during trial. His license was suspended & he died in 2018. (1/2)

Tremaine Wood has been moved to death watch — just 5 days before Oklahoma plans to kill him.💔
This is a man recommended for clemency by Gov. Stitt’s own hand-picked pardon and parole board. It is unconscionable that he be subjected to this added psychological terror — mere steps from the execution chamber.
