Our original VIR team from 2016 were reunited on Friday to wish Mai good luck as she starts her new role as a caseworker at NNRF.

They were joined later by current staff members as well as the new trainees who were celebrating their graduation.

Just now, we joined a Mauritanian Coast Guard patrol. Their main task is monitoring fisheries quota, but the EU wants them to focus on migration.

Interceptions at sea impact migratory routes, forcing people into the dangerous Algerian desert.
