I don’t have a degree in screenwriting or creative writing. I’ve learned from some of the best on the job or at conferences or film festivals. Those I learned from had practical experience. Scripts sold and made. Writing assignments that got made. Production experience.
They worked with development execs and experienced producers, been in production meetings. There are quite few people on this board with this kind of verifiable experience.
I’m telling you all this because there is, and always has been, groups and individuals who have none of this kind of experience, but who want to profit from your need for success. Why would you send your scripts, your hard work, to someone who can’t sell their own?
Everyone owes it to themselves to use the internet to check anyone out who is advertising themselves as an expert. There are a lot of qualified professionals who come online advertising their services. And a whole lot more who aren’t. Look everyone up. Make your decisions based on that. Not on the promises they make alone.
Buyer beware. Thanks.

@diannahaze Ups and downs are part of the journey. You've improved before, you had a setback... you'll improve again.
Breathe... you've got this, and you've got a lot of people on your side
@arthurjack You never outgrow fear... you come to understand that fear is just another emotion that you can soberly tolerate because emotions are part of being human and not something to avoided. Don't seek to avoid fear; seek to understand that fear can't hurt you or stop you.
