Employment scams: it’s something I warn consumers about often. The @BBB_Charlotte just sent me an email saying reports of these cons “exploded in 2025, doubling over the previous year.” It counts about 50k reports nationally over the last three years.
The group, @ConsumerAffairs, says it “analyzed new building permits and new-construction home sales across 150 of the largest” cities for Jan/Feb & found CLT “issued 3,425 new building permits for homes” & had “1,194 new-construction home sales,” both #8 in US.
