We absolutely love the shirt dedication series for @lionsofficial So clearly shows the power of sport & the role of coaches in building resilience in young people. Everyone needs a trusted adult. 👏👏👏
I’ve loved rugby since I was small, but without the dedication of two very special people I may not have had the opportunity to become a @LionsOfficial. This year’s red jersey is dedicated to them as my way of saying thank you #UniteThePride@VodafoneUK@VodafoneIreland#Ad
“Beyond our pain, we are more than our ACEs. Our trauma story is not our only story & it doesn’t have to be the end of our story. The dominant narrative needs always to be one of hope, strength & resilience”

‘Adverse Childhood Experiences should be seen as probalistic not deterministic’ meaning they increase the risk for poor outcomes, but are a not an absolute determinant. Another great mobilization across #Gloucestershire by @ActionOnAces
Young children are biologically programmed to seek a loving #attachment. They interpret #EmotionalNeglect as a threat & this triggers toxic stress which harms all aspects of growth. Home visit by nurses in early childhood are an effective way of improving parental attachment.
