Dear men,

There is nothing wrong with having standards or personal convictions about how you want to build your home. Every man has a right to define his values, principles and boundaries. However, problems begin when personal experiences especially painful or unhealthy ones are forcefully imposed on others as universal truth. Life does not raise us all the same way. Some people grew up in homes filled with love, respect and teamwork, while others did not.

Marriage is not a platform to reenact trauma, control or dominance under the disguise of leadership. It is not a sole proprietorship, a business venture, or a slave camp where one voice rules and the other suffers in silence. Marriage is a partnership built on mutual respect, communication, sacrifice and shared responsibility. Leadership in marriage is not about oppression but it is about service, accountability and emotional intelligence.

When men push rigid, loveless ideologies onto others, they poison healthy relationships and misrepresent what a functional family should look like. Growth means unlearning dysfunction, not exporting it.

Let us encourage marriages rooted in understanding, love, and balance not fear and control.
