The famous stairway fight in THE PROTECTOR (2005) was staged as a single long take, with Tony Jaa and the stunt team fighting their way up multiple floors. Any mistake meant starting the entire sequence over from the beginning.
🎬Gorgeous (1999) Warehouse Fight
No gimmicks. No distractions. Just Jackie Chan and Brad Allan putting on a masterclass in martial arts choreography.
Who else thinks this is one of Jackie's most underrated fights?
There are reasons not many people talk about Raid 2 aside from hammer girl and the karambit fight. What made Raid 1 memorable wasn't the choreo. You see the same choreo here. It was the desperation of being trapped in a closed space. There are closed spaces in Raid 2, but the story is in the open, yet it uses the same "cornered dog" choreo, like stabbing a guy in the neck with a bottle repeatedly. It's hard to justify this, and I think it turned off the average viewer, who cites Raid 1 100x more often.

Still one of the most iconic action scenes in cinema history. (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 2000)
