@pcann_LIS @EDCouncil I completely agree with crossing being safer but don’t see the currently council team doing that. Maybe at a later date they could add a crossing, it’s definitely thinking glass half full but given no progress in year good to see some change.
Craigdhu path still collapsing into the ditch. https://t.co/pIBrjiYN5J
@EDCouncil can we get this repaired before winter makes it worse? Path also severely damaged towards the junction to Seafield Ave.
Schools are starting up and this is a core route for pupils to scoot/cycle.
Come one come all! Marvel at the complete lack of safe routes to get here! Wonder at the magical disappearing cycle path! Be fearful of sceptical locals who think you’re odd for not driving everywhere! It’s all part of @EDCouncil’s climate emergency!
To cycle safety between Bearsden and Briggs in @EDCouncil to need leave the area. Thankfully @GlasgowCC and @scottishcanals are building Dutch style proper infrastructure to help. Let’s hope one day ED care enough to link towns and business via active travel directly.
Meanwhile @EDCouncil are unsure if Main Street, Milngavie, has a cycle lane. The website say yes, map on the same website says no and roads team repainted only some of it 🤪
We're working with a digital wayfinding experts to improve how cyclists can plan routes & navigate around London.
We've updated @tfl systems and now have a new map of London's network of cycleways. This allows rapid update as our network grows.

Google Maps makes major update to cycling navigation
Features include warning of routes with heavy motor traffic and highlighting alternatives with better cycling infrastructure or fewer turns

@mattmartin82 @milngavie@bearswayfriends Yeah Google says it’s 24mins from Douglas to SEC via car (not including parking time) or 1hr 20mins via train.
Well done, looks like it will be nice and sunny all day as well #glovesaff
@geordiemunro14@bearswayfriends @AsdaUk_Helpdesk @EDCouncil @magnatom Also just to let you know your using the wrong map in your plans, that maps out of date as it includes a “cycle lane” that includes a flight of stairs, which is not accessible to most due to its poor designs.
@geordiemunro14@bearswayfriends @AsdaUk_Helpdesk can you ask you planning team if they support extending the @bearswayfriends to your store? Your plans (👆) says it’s well connected to a potential path, that @EDCouncil want to build but need business (like yourself) backing. Thanks
@magnatom
@EDCouncil please publish your plans to connect the Bearsway to Glasgow and @milngavie and @BearsdenLoves. ASAP.
Europe is on fire and active travel is something most residents can do, if you build safe infrastructure for the @bearswayfriends to use. Thanks
@MMTGE567 @sturmeyarcher3 @EDCouncil@milngavie@BearsdenLoves@bearswayfriends @mmtgeorge Nope 70%, specific read this please https://t.co/FL0XWPHUS9
It a group of locals who don’t want to die while taking our kids to school without burning oil.
