Cycling is no longer permitted on the traffic-free section of Oxford Street between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street. We will maintain an active presence of enforcement officers.

You can continue your journey using the surrounding highway network and choose an alternative route from the nearby streets that remain open.

Oxford Street is becoming traffic-free 🚶‍♂

From Monday 26 October, the section between Orchard Street and Great Portland Street will be traffic-free.

All traffic will be diverted from the evening of Sunday 25 October 🚗🚲🚌

Contraflow on the A41 flyover from Friday 30 October ⚠️

As part of refurbishment works on the A41 Brent Cross Flyover, we will carry out essential safety works that will affect traffic and road space in the area.

A contraflow system will begin on the A41 flyover on Friday 30 October 2026. Traffic will continue to run in both directions, but with reduced road space.
