Animal vs Plant-Based Serum
The stuff that you see in the serum after the fatty animal meal actually causes the blood vessels to stiffen, increases inflammation, increases IGF1 and activates mTOR, and has other substances that have negative physiological responses." - Dr Garth Davis
Isn't it funny how it's seen as 'strong' to eat meat and 'weak' to eat plants... see for yourselves 🗡️ 💪
Researchers at the Medical University of Vienna and the University of Bern analyzed bones from a cemetery in the ancient city of Ephesus, located in present-day Turkey. The team studied the remains of 22 gladiators, uncovering a diet heavy in grains and legumes, with minimal evidence of animal products.
The analysis revealed a consistent pattern: wheat, barley, and beans formed the core of the gladiators’ meals. These findings align with historical references to fighters as “hordearii,” or “barley men,” highlighting their reliance on plant-based nutrition.
Researchers noted little trace of meat or dairy in the bones, suggesting that even elite Roman athletes who performed under grueling conditions in front of massive crowds were able to maintain strength and stamina on a largely meat-free diet.
