@mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez Also appears the account who posted the original video of Vanessa Pecora and Samantha Harper has been deleted. This should be known, not censored so here it is. Imagine how uncomfortable the people of color at IHA must feel walking the halls with this. Disgusting.

@Goldstein79@apallatta@mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez It doesn’t apply to adults either, don’t let him gaslight you by pulling examples is successful black people. Especially because if we were actually to make lists, the list of successful white people would be way longer. And the reason for that is white privilege.
@apallatta@Goldstein79@mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez White privilege has nothing to do with success of black people or with financial privilege. It takes a very, very simple research to figure out what white privilege is. Thinking it doesn’t exist bc there are successful poc or bc white people can work hard too is the fallacy.
Local NJ Catholic School seniors. Imagine being non-white and going to this school. These two clearly felt that they could spew hatred AND had the audacity to record it, as if there would be zero repercussions. This is privilege. Curious to see what administrators do.
@vaspas1414 @mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez Okay. I’m not here advocating for BLM, I’m advocating for the fact that black lives matter. Again BLM’s efficacy is not what this is about.
@vaspas1414 @mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez This isn’t a thread to debate the likability or efficacy of Black Lives Matter. This video is a display of racism, and black lives do matter. Which is a statement completely independent from the organization, which is why I made this post. This behavior is inexcusable.
@apallatta@henhousepress@JerseyGirlKate@mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez Or maybe it is from their parents. Or their friends. Or who they follow on social media. Most likely some level of influences from all the above. Either way, they get it from somewhere and those environments need to change. There is a reason they felt so comfortable doing this.
@livandorder The fact that they recorded and posted it is actually a lot more shocking to me than what happened in the video. I know this kind of racism is everywhere in Bergen county alr, but so rarely is there hard proof, especially proof recorded and posted by the racists themselves.
@cspitaletta@scoeng@mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez Politics has nothing to do with it. If these girls were/are democrats the reaction would be the same. & if you support free speech Charles, then nothing in this thread of tweets should bother you at all. FoS doesn’t mean you won’t receive backlash for racism, as that’s our FoS
@gem13nyc @mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez Yes, multiple photos from this event are in the thread above my post. It’s inexcusable behavior that is somehow enabled in this school and culture of the students. Clearly these students feel comfortable being racist and doing so openly and without fear of repercussion.
@leokim@mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez I didn’t mean that as a “standard.” It was an additional comment. It doesn’t imply it’d be okay under other circumstances. It was meant to both empathize and call other people to empathize with poc who have to deal this behavior in what is supposed to be a safe environment.
@scoeng@mo0llyy@julialovesharry @emmajpatton @liaroserivera@mineyobeeznez I’m not having this discussion with you. I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you. And that’s fine. I’m sure you’ve heard most of anything I can say and you chose not to hear it. My goal isn’t to change the mind of some random guy on Twitter. Have a good day.
