There are a few games I’ve made where the best version of the game was about 2 months pre launch.
It’s very easy to sand too much off when iterating with play testers. The true mastery is understanding when there is just the right amount of complaining about friction

@loomdoop what? he was literally co-founder of Justice Democrats…. AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, etc are in office because of Justice Democrats and hella progressive platform came from them. he also literally was AOC’s chief of staff… are we talking about the same person?
@EclecticRadShow@loomdoop anyone that’s worked a tech job as a manager or engineer has equity like this. that doesn’t fit the definition of oligarch. everyone wants to talk “seize the means” but the second someone’s got a minority share in a company you don’t like its suddenly a whole different tune lol.
@loomdoop i don’t understand how you get from a minority non-controlling position in a company granted from working for them years ago equates to “being stripe”. there’s hundreds of other people with the same level of equity that he worked with back then. class traitors exist and can help.
@loomdoop but the difference is that he doesn’t work for them. it’s a large number but a relatively small share of the company overall. this is like arguing a candidate buying some shares of a company on robinhood is disqualifying
@irockgnomes why would he reach out when you guys iirc already held a vote and posted a condemnation with the caption “we only endorse candidates aligned with our vision”
platform clearly isn’t part of that vision
@AChevyWolf Xbox is failing miserably, so she comes to swing the pendulum back in the other direction and then leaves after a while and the enshittification begins again
@bcherny the API rates are astronomical compared to the subscription. i’d be happy to pay double to keep a similar limit, but at these API rates i’m going to switch to codex or something.
