所謂「AI絵師」に冷めてる人が多いのは例えるなら「豪速球を投げるピッチングマシーンを開発してマウンドに上げて三振取って、作った技師が「俺はピッチャーだ」って言うようなもの」だからかもしれませんね。
またAIの学習は必要なパーツを集めてくっつける「クオリティの高い福笑」で、その学習に情熱も向上心もありません。AIは上手くなりたいと思ってるのではなく、指示されたことを高い精度でこなしているだけ。
人とAIの学習の違いは自分の意思か、指示されてやらされているかの違いです。
AIを使って絵を「作る」人は、単に無作為に他人から集めたパーツでパズルを組み立てるのを「学習」と称して楽しんでいるだけで、しかも制作は他人（AI）に丸投げ。そういう人がクリエイターやアーティストを名乗るのは、まあ違うかなと思います。
言い換えるなら、AIを駆使して絵を作る人は単なる「技師」です。他所からパーツをパクってきてピッチングマシーンを作るのが上手い技師。こう言う人は豪速球を投げる機械を作れても「大谷」にはなれない。
今現在、そのピッチングマシーンがマウンドで大暴れして「なんやこいつ」と思われている状況。マウンドから下ろすルールもない。でも実際に見る人は思うわけです「あのピッチングマシーンはすごいけど、やっぱ大谷が見たいよな」と。機械が200キロ投げられても作った人は賞賛されない。いくら大谷の投げ方を学習させて速い球を速射できても「だから何」と思われる。
私たち絵を描く人たちが進むヒントは、こういう所にあって、だからさいとうさんは、アナログで絵を描いたり、模索されているのかなと思いました。
