JUST IN: 🇺🇸 New York has officially banned the construction of new data centers for 1 year.
After that, data centers will pay higher electricity rates than residents.
@arvis4prez like most royals i think he's there as a passable alternative if all else fails. if you have the dlc and like doing the tiki paralogue asp then he's much better at killing the dragon reinforcements. not to say that etie doesn't have potential though because she def does !!
@arvis4prez etie usually has better strength than alcryst by the time you get him but i still prefer his bases & growths, also has a more serviceable personal to boost his lower strength. not to mention luna from his personal class with decent dex & chances to double
@kezottle i had ~3 years of contemporary in-person schooling between an isolated hyperreligious upbringing and a covid graduation, so i was terminally online and i was also convinced that i was running out of time to enjoy my youth. i need current teens to realize that this ain't it
@kezottle when i went to college, i felt like i was on a time crunch to make close friends because once i graduated that would be it. if i could say anything to current teenagers and to my past self, it would be to drop this belief. i'm 22 and i feel like my life is only just beginning
@DailyEmperor i love this support so much and i wish the rest of the game addressed what they discuss more often. i like to hc that after the war, he creates the star sign items that you can buy in the renown shop
A US city has effectively banned data centers for the first time.
St. Charles, Missouri has changed their land use rules so that data centers cannot be built.
The change is indefinite, and to build data centers in St. Charles the land uses rules would need to change again.
This is exactly what "trust the science" looks like. Scientists updated the worst-case scenario because real-world emissions are tracking below RCP8.5's 2010-era assumptions of runaway coal expansion, primarily because wind and solar got cheap and climate policy started bending the curve. The new CMIP7 HIGH scenario published in Geoscientific Model Development still projects roughly 3°C of warming by 2100, twice the Paris target and a temperature Earth has not seen in roughly 3 million years.
The position being celebrated here amounts to: the climate policies worked well enough to retire the worst-case scenario, therefore we should kill the climate policies. That is hearing the smoke alarm shut off and concluding the fire department was a hoax.
@arvis4prez Lmao the opera house fans love to throw hands, there's that one map in claude's three hopes route where you have to help dorothea and several opera house fans fight back against twsitd
