@haynesking_@ChoppinBravos Ronald’s gotta get the ball in the air. Balls hit on the ground are outs more often than not, regardless of how hard they are hit
@JuniorRushing@BeaneaterB Thank you! I hate it when somebody hits a ball hard on the ground for an out and a lot of fans go "that was so unlucky" or whatever. If you hit a ball on the ground, I don’t care how hard it is. More often than not, it’s an out
@daltine_cracker His 2025 season is boosted by June. If you exclude June, he slashed .265/.384/.490 for an .874 OPS with 15 HR’s and 30 RBI’s. These are still above-average numbers but not elite
@ChoppinBravos I agree with everything except for the San Diego part. Prior to last year, the last time the Braves lost a series in San Diego in the regular season was 2018; they actually swept the Padres in San Diego in 2019 and 2021.
@BeaneaterB And I don’t want to hear his advanced stats saying he was unlucky. He gave up 22 HR's and in 11 of his 32 starts that year, he didn’t make it six full innings; that’s not bad luck, that’s mediocre to bad pitching 2/2
@BeaneaterB I’ve been saying since 2023 (before he had surgery) that Strider is overrated. I don’t think he’s a bad pitcher but he’s a #2 guy at best. In his last fully healthy season (2023), he a had a 3.86 ERA; not bad, but not ace material 1/2
