Thanks @streetsforall for recommending the Democrats for Justice slate for ADEM delegates in #AD56 (@AD56Dems)! All aboard the train for healthy, sustainable communities and streets for all!
Vote Jan. 21 in Whittier! Or send back your mail ballot. See details below or DM me.
To register to vote in your Assembly District Election, you must qualify as a registered Democrat in AD56. If you are registered as NPP, Green, or Independent, you must reregister as a Democrat to vote in the ADEM election.
Miss the deadline to vote in the ADEM election by mail? You can still vote in person on January 21 from 10-2 at Sage in Uptown Whittier! https://t.co/sHt41nVb8A
ADEM elections were important to my dad, who was elected twice as this area’s Executive Board member.
I ask all of my followers who are eligible to vote in AD56 (Whittier, Hacienda Heights, Pico Rivera) to request a ballot BY DEC. 31 & vote for this slate. 🔗 below 👇🏽
We are 14 progressive activists running for CADEM delegate positions in AD56. We believe in reforming the California Democratic Party towards economic and social justice. Please support all of our members and register to receive an ADEM ballot by Dec. 31st! DM for more info!
As a voting delegate to AD57, I am also supporting our move to block Senator Archuleta’s endorsement by the California Democratic Party.
We deserve more than pithy statements about protecting staffers, I’m disgusted with how much we tolerate toxicity and abuse.
While the sexual harassment allegations alone are disqualifying, Archuleta’s record on voting should also make him unworthy of CADEM endorsement. An F from Courage Campaign and an F from Sierra Club.
Bob Archuleta (#SD30 - LA County) does NOT deserve to be endorsed by @CA_Dem this weekend.
A thread on why delegates must not endorse a state senator who sexually harasses staff and consistently stands against the CADEM platform.🧵👇
Disappointingly, despite these allegations, several electeds have endorsed Archuleta (@AsmLisaCalderon, @HildaSolis, @SupJaniceHahn, @RepRoybalAllard).
We honestly hope that they come to reconsider this endorsement and urge their CADEM delegates to not endorse Archuleta.
Don’t know what to say? You can call in and read one of the prepared scripts we have!! The meeting log in info is at the top of this document too: https://t.co/WCYKIJyYKI
Tonight, the Whittier City Council is trying to pass a resolution of “no confidence” in LA County DA George Gascón because he’s been fighting for criminal justice reform policies like ending cash bail, holding law enforcement accountable, and ending the death penalty.
If there’s anybody in Whittier who deserves a motion of “no confidence,” it’s councilmember Jessica Martinez for attending the Capitol insurrection.
Tell the council TONIGHT @ 6 to not pass this BS resolution.
