If a hospital is getting capital from PE, their primary aim is to maximise revenue & profit pool. Patients are secondary. Government should try to create a scheme for enabling funds at reasonably low ROI.
@aravind Completely agree with this. Few months back, X was full of posts about India being a heat furnace while the ground reality was lot better (atleast for quite a lot of people). India’s problems are being amplified 10x by adversaries.
Irony is: Insurers keep on raising premiums, Hospitals keep on looting customers and insurers reject claims at their own will. This has to be stopped. Build more govt. hospitals (like we are scaling physical infra) and put a cap on the prices.
I have said this in the past and saying this again. If govt. doesn’t intervene and control the rampant money making machines in Healthcare (especially Hospitals) and Education sector, we are heading for catastrophe as a nation.
These two sectors are critical for the growth of our nation (like any other nation) and must have the tighter control of government. Firstly, No private equity investment should be allowed.
Situation is: No one trusts Private Hospitals till the time they know an insider.
@ShuklaNive Perhaps a post from your myopic (Irish) view. I have lived in Germany for long enough & Indians are among the well respected, well to-do immigrants community. Locals know that these guys earn more & thereby contribute more to the taxes and social security. Non-sense post IMO.
Im at the Frankfurt Airport for a 10 hr layover.
I have been traveling around for years but now it feels different.
The hate for India and Indians is at peak and we subconsciously feel every one is hating on us.
It's been 3 hrs now, I noticed a fellow brown colored human being who took a flight with me from Dublin. Humble clothing, unkempt face, a ragged backpack and a faded jacket. Something told me this man was poor. Most ppl were either looking at him with a judgmental look that I hate or avoiding him completely.
I saw him looking at the food menu at different outlets, the cheapest I guess.
My heart ached for him, he could be a hard working brother who hasn't come to terms with spending Euros yet.
I have brought extra food with me. I walked up to him with my parcel of food, I asked, "Aap Dublin se aaye hain?"
He smiled and answered- "Ji."
Then I asked, "Kahan ja rahe hain?"
"Karachi, Paxtaan!' He said, beaming.
I turned around and walked back to my chair.
Jaa mar!!
It has been 1.5 months and @HitachiAC_GB continues to play ping-pong on my complaint. We continue to suffer in the peak heat of delhi after paying top dollar for this junk called Hitachi split AC.
@jagograhakjago This is sheer harassment. Request your intervention. @JoshiPralhad
@HitachiAC_GB we bought a brand new wall mounted AC last year in Delhi and compressor failed within few months. You guys changed the compressor and now your Service guy says gas leakage from a 1 year old AC. Seriously? What kind of scam is this?
@Oxygen18_ Sorry to disappoint Mr. Chopra, but no one is interested in watching Ind vs Afg one sided brutality. Only purpose of this match was to have better net practice and that has been served. So let’s be happy about it and not blame the test match format. #IndvsAfg
@gupta_rekha Your government should be only known for making Delhi Pollution free. You have a chance to write history. Efforts should be made on the ground. Happy to contribute if there is a public drive.
@gupta_rekha Planting trees should be made monthly drive with respective councillors/MLA made responsible with KPIs, tracking done with identifiers. Public participation should be incentivised (with lets say free parking minutes at premium parking plazas in Delhi). Try it. Its possible.
@sandipsabharwal Agreed.
30 day is pretty cheap considering Schengen visa sometimes is less than 30 days and costs a bomb with all other miscellaneous costs.
@CMODelhi It will be helpful if you also start sharing concrete updates on what your government is doing to cut down air pollution in Delhi & how you plan to tackle air pollution before it becomes a political tug of war (of course in October this year).
@DealsDhamaka Bought Hitachi AC last year, compressor gone in 6 months, Hitachi replaced with a brand new compressor, now gas leakage issue as soon as we turned on the AC this year. Since then it’s a chase with futile responses from Hitachi. Now moved to Consumer Court. Let’s see what happens.
@DealsDhamaka My theory- We always value product based on price. Manufacturer keeps price low by assembling sub standard items, remain competitive, inflation pushes the prices up, keeping the items substandard. Add to this, money minting service model - Sell product once, service every season.
@PunjabKingsIPL is loosing their shit, when they were certain to finish at the top of the table (or worst case top 2). Should be a case study on how to loose games with such a strong team. Not surprised that Ponting's pep talks are not doing any good either - seen this before .
