They are often ostracized by society and constantly discriminated against. And if by some miracle they find work, it's short-lived because their coworkers harass and bully them. This is not an assumption, it is reality.
I think people don't understand how difficult it is for trans women to find work. They often have to use their deathnames to apply, and when they get the call and see that they're trans women, they reject them. I've been a boss and I've seen it firsthand. Empathy, please.
