This is perhaps one of the most dangerous hard drugs you'd find on the streets.
This KUSH is different from the common 'kush' is gaining grounds in Sierra Leone and sadly it has found its way into Nigeria.
I spoke with a Friend who is Sierra Leonean and he told me what this is.
So this Kush is a mixture of Tramadol, Fentanyl, Weed, Formalin ( the same one used for preserving Dead bodies) and crushed Human bones.
So what they do is they exhume dead bodies that are known to be decaying and not fresh. Sometimes these culprits are also careful to target the bones of dead drug users.
Their belief ..Bone has an amount of sulfur and when mixed with a ton of substances. The gas it generates and resulting substance can create some form of euphoria.
Some also sniff these dead bones to get high. Decaying matter also release Ammonia which is pungent which they sniff.
The dangers ,Tram and Fent are opiods carrying the dangers of addiction, ability to cut off breathing, various system changes and damages
Formalin is a toxic gas that can damage the brain, liver, lungs and many.
Cannabis comes with its own list of dangers.
Burning bones also release a host of gases that can toxic.
Now imaging taking a substance that all this in one.
This practice is already gaining popularity in Northern Nigeria and various parts are also experimenting with it.
I do hope we are able to curtail it.
