@savagexspitfire “Duly noted,” Alex hums, taking a healthy sip. “So tell me, what’s new in your orbit? And please let it be anything but work related,” She smiled.
@savagexspitfire “Oh really?” Alex chuckled, plucking her glass from the table. “I know how to indulge every now and then, Miss Novak,” She winked, tilting her glass towards Casey’s.
@savagexspitfire “Can’t turn down an offer like that, now can I?” Alex smirked playfully, putting the menu aside as the waitress returns and pours them each a glass of wine.
i can’t be soft. i can’t let my guard down. i can’t be vulnerable, because they’ll all learn who i really am. i don’t want them to know how weak and pathetic i truly am. fragility is a curse.
“I don’t know much about relationships. I’ve spent most of my life avoiding them, but I have never felt this way before. You consume my dreams, wants, and desires. I want to protect you with every bone in my body, but more than that, I want to be the one who makes you happy.”
@savagexspitfire “Whatever your finest bottle is.” Alex nodded to the waitress with a polite smile. Glancing down at the menu, she tried to focus, settle her nerves with the distraction. “Anything look good to you?” she asked the redhead.
@savagexspitfire “Wine?” Alex raised a brow, gaze returned with a subtle smirk. Wine and dine, a routine Alex knew well what with all the political dinners and galas she’d been dragged to her whole life. She could do this. It was just Casey after all. But then again— it was Casey.
@savagexspitfire “You’re most certainly not alone.” She chuckled as they walked through the threshold. “Reservation under Cabot.” She said to the hostess over the bustling noise of the restaurant.
Once they were led to their table, Alex took a seat, smiling as she picked up a menu.
