@niang_whale the same as all politicians, to use their abilities of persuasion/deception to harness the political power of the people they influence. political power is a bankable currency - no need for any motivation beyond that
@DougieCritchley Some tactical errors are so poor that they are indistinguishable from sabotage. Anyone who knew anything about football, knew that we were for sure going to lose the moment he tried to defend a 1 goal lead for 40 mins. I liked Tuchel, but I was wrong, that choice was indefensible
@elcapitankick@AnvilDevAgency hodei looks cool and genuinely useful, but it appears to require a network connection - so i don't think it fits the bill here
@CSWAP_Destroy but we have no leverage. we can't ask for their genesis ada back - they are unelected bureaucrats that answer to nobody. yes, we can try to reason with them, but ultimately, they are going to want to hold on to their power - which means cardano suffers.
@pablolopez111 incase anyone doesn't understand, what's brilliant is his decision making. in every clip he takes <1s to calculate the optimal play. on form he is the most effective player in the world - his winning the ballon d'or finally gave that trophy some credibility
@CSWAP_Destroy but what can we realistically expect from them? they're essentially mid level consultants with limited business connections, and being unelected they have no incentive to do much aside from arranging fancy but fruitless conventions. realistically we are on our own
@ESCOweb3 true, much better to sell a token that returns no value to investors. let's all laugh as they lose everything, whilst we take all the profit - that's working out really well for all the greedy projects that took that path.
there's a reason cardano lost its userbase
@bradpmac@InputEndorsers@dori_coin thinking, admittedly elite, nerds, could solve governance - a problem which has eluded the worlds greatest minds for millennia - says a lot about how out of touch with realty our thinking has been
love him or loathe him, cardano would be stronger if charles were king
@bradpmac@dori_coin@InputEndorsers this is the part our many dreps are failing to grasp. it's about cardano as a brand, strike is uniquely positioned to draw attention to it. sadly the people with the power are too focused on academia to understand business.
@mek_ada@ItsDave_ADA it doesn't directly benefit via tx fees, but secondary benefits are better than almost all other proposals. strike is cardano's killer app, aside from https://t.co/BFv4mvFdzu it's the only app we have that competes with the industries elite. why give money to anything else?
@ilmcloughlin@dori_coin@TheRealWeb3Kat@BenRyanMe ...and, i have to say, it's utterly astounding that we are now wanting to be picky about the "quality of users" we have. more than anything else, that really does nail just how far we have our collective heads buried in the sand.
@ilmcloughlin@dori_coin@TheRealWeb3Kat@BenRyanMe i'd suggest they're more favorable than the zero users almost every other app has. true, strike isn't perfect, but it is uniquely relevant, and aside from snek, it's very likely the only thing capable of drawing positive attention to our chain, albeit from "imperfect" people
@ilmcloughlin@dori_coin@TheRealWeb3Kat@BenRyanMe again, all that matters is users at this point, we can worry about perfection later. sadly, perfection without users is worthless - a failure to understand this is at the heart of cardano's failure. unfortunately our most powerful dreps have seemingly no business sense whatsoever
