@GeorgeSmileyOBE As long as it’s a big loan fee ~£30m and total cost is north of £130m and he can’t play against us this season then that’s not a bad end result.
@Blue_Footy Even if Enzo stays we could do with another long term CM assuming Essugo goes on loan and Henderson is really just a club mascot and not a serious option to cover rotation on the first XI. We know Lavia could very easily be out again and Moises is running on fumes
@Darko_Baba Ndiaye for £60m when we could easily have a ton of injuries is a sensible move. Neto can revert to doing nothing again, gittens end estevao could get a reoccurrence of their injuries or palmer. Our team are still made of glass so we need the numbers to get back into top 4.
@GeorgeSmileyOBE Go fuck yourself city. Pissed about for months with the sole reason to cause maximum disruption to Chelsea’s season. Reject until it’s over £130m fixed.
The market for midfielders will be even more crazy next year
@CFCDaily Considering they got more for a 30 year old… I would have expected £60+£5 or slightly less upfront but with a sell on clause as you know he will end up in Saudi in two years time for a chunky fee
@Blue_Footy@FabriceHawkins Villa getting a steal there. Lower guaranteed fee as a 30 year old Watkins. Favours galore from Chelsea to Villa this window. Undersell on Jackson and huge overpay on Rogers. Let’s hope Martinez comes in at a discount on the £12m
@Darko_Baba Food chain. We are now bottom feeders of the premier league. Can you imagine this happening under Roman. There are no replacements. Think what you want of Enzo. But there’s no one better that can be bought in 2026. Fuck Clearlake.
@ConnCFC There is no replacement - that’s the issue. Great fee. But doesn’t mean much if we have to overpay for absolutely not world class players like Scott for £80/£90m. If we sell. Our project isn’t to win the league. It’s to be close and minimise our cash outlay.
@CFCPys@Santi_J_FM@laloumance Villa would be demanding £80m if they were the selling club. We overpaid by £20/£30m on Rogers and are now selling Jackson on the cheap??
@CFCPys He made a call to leave after last seasons mess and now he knows he can double his money elsewhere and have a better chance of success. Our model won’t pay him market rate. So we are going to have to get used to our players leaving us for money and trophies.
@SJohnsonSport There’s no equivalent player in the market. Lots saying Roger’s will cover his goals, Wharton will cover his passing, breaking up play, but we can’t field 12 players. £120m is below his value in this market
