The decision to shut down SN650 is seismic. Losing another major sports media voice in Vancouver is a devastating loss.

That station has produced an incredible amount of talent and gave so many young voices a platform.

@SadClubCommish They were in the 1st half, but only got one really good chance in that half, so you can't say they totally dominated the half.

Then Morocco was the better team in the 2nd half. Canada had moments where they pressed, but didn't generate enough Grade A chances.

@nuckshawks @RandipJanda Larin is a good finisher, so I wouldn't say he's miles better than him there. He honestly didn't look very good at all in this tournament aside from the Qatar game, where everyone looked good.

@GrizzlyAdyms @danriccio_ Both are equally defining stories. Yes, Canada did great to advance to the round of 16, but they also didn't beat anyone that they weren't supposed to beat. They got a favourable draw in both the group stage and the round of 32. Not sure if they'll move up the rankings much.

@nuckshawks @RandipJanda He looks to be no better than Larin. Decent finisher, but very little one-on-one ability and not much speed. He's entirely dependant on others to set him up to be successful.

Yes, we'll look back at this World Cup as a success for Canada. But in the moment, this feels like a huge disappointment and wasted opportunity.

They couldn't capitalize on a good first half and their best players didn't show up both figuratively (David) and literally (Davies).
