@jfc_science@DrNicolasHart There is now supporting evidence, which would not have been possible without experiment and ‘promising’ data and observations.
@jfc_science Exercise during treatment is very important. Agree - eat to suit your body comp needs but strength and/or aerobic exercise will always have a huge place. Plenty of research to support this.
Great presentation. My favourite - insights from Dean & Alex and the similarities & differences in AFL environments.

Agreed! 🙌
I’ve always found mentors that challenge why I do things are the ones I’ve learned the most from.
Most of all I’ve learned by simply observing their high standards, behaviour, processes and genuine care for what they do.
Mentoring is: helping someone to make the best decisions for them so that they can achieve their career goals
Mentoring is not: telling someone to make the same decisions you would so that they can achieve your career goals
Today marked my 3-month check up & got the all clear - still remission city.
Ironically, tonight is my first night back at the AFL as the rehab coach & load analyst with the umpires - the very thing that was taken away from me earlier this year.
Needless to say I’m pumped!
My recent interview with Sports Medicine Australia @SMA_NEWS outlining the benefits of exercise when faced with cancer. What a journey it’s been.
I’m in remission, feeling good and back at work.
Thank you exercise.

As a researcher, you often lose sight of what your work actually means to people. @Adam_Veli, it was so nice to see your story in @SMA_NEWS, and so kind of you to acknowledge our advice as meaningful. It’s been a real pleasure watching you thrive! @CancerCouncilWA. #SMAConf18
To my knowledge this is the only study out there which explores PA and lymphoma. Great to see! Look forward to working with @DrNicolasHart & @ProfRobNewton on building upon this research!
Love it @chanyooncheah, thanks' for the share! - I saw this yesterday and thought of you too (in the context of my own bias!): https://t.co/KjDjHB1xuk … … … (published two days ago)...... I'm very keen to explore exercise medicine for lymphoma: @Adam_Veli and @ProfRobNewton
@DrNicolasHart@EMRI_ECU@ProfRobNewton Thanks both Nic and Rob for today. Looking forward to working with you to contribute to the research of oncology and exercise.

@DrNicolasHart Great! I was almost classed as remission after cycle 2. Started cycle 5 of 6 today & get another PET scan after all treatment.
Still exercising (weights & cardio) and still keeping those nasty side effects away 👊
You’ve been a great help mate and motivated me to #keepmoving
