I also cannot imagine what more you could do. I'm already honestly blown away by what an incredible ally you are
When people speak about any trans person using the wrong pronoun purposely, it just seems like the most cruel, nasty, trolly little dick energy thing to do. Reasonable people can have debates about how we should navigate trans people in sports or the nuances of trans healthcare for minors but we don't need to be rude and we don't need to be cruel. Purposefully using a trans person's wrong pronouns is just cruel and mean. Jewish people using the wrong pronouns when they are bullying trans people is reminding me of how people will use the word "genocide" in bullying and trolling Jewish people right now (implying that they are always against antisemitism, It's just that they think Israel is so uniquely evil, because the genocide). The word "genocide" is being chosen as a very hurtful choice, the same way that when people use the wrong pronoun for you, they are making a very hurtful choice. I just wish humans could do better.
The situation is so fucked in terms of the two candidates and it feels like a choice between two terrible things. I'm honestly grateful that I don't live in Michigan so I don't have to make the decision myself. I think many people don't actually realize that voting for Mike Rogers is actively putting your rights at risk. Even though I would agree with you that it doesn't take much research to realize that, I think other people can't even stomach a universe where they don't take action to try to stop AES from winning because of the blinking red lights they see around the rise of politicians like him.
I am not challenging you. I am just trying to show all the different sides of this and how hard it is for everyone. It is an unnecessary tragedy when people use the wrong pronouns on purpose and are cruel to you.
It's also completely ignorant if someone doesn't realize what an above-and-beyond ridiculously amazing ally to Jewish people you have been and are and how lucky we are to have a voice like you. I know I can't apologize for all Jewish people but I at least want to apologize for some of them. I want to let you know how grateful I am for the work you've done and let you and all trans people know that you deserve better. I don't agree with you 100% of the time but I pretty much agree with you 90% of the time. I 100% of the time think that you're brave and authentic and extremely intelligent. Please keep doing your work even though I know there is so much pain from the cruelty of others
This is extremely difficult to explain because there is a massive reality gap. There are people who understand that antizionism, using the word "genocide" regarding Israel, and being reluctant to condemn Islamic terrorism is an active form of antisemitism.
Then there are going to be those who say, "All I want is for there to be zero antisemitism and for Jews to be safe," and in same breath say “Israel is a unique evil on this earth, I'm not sure that it should exists because it's perpetrating a baby-killing genocide, Muslim terrorism is complex and maybe even not terrorism because of how evil Israel is!”
The new version of antisemitism is making it so that any Jew who is not willing to completely publicly declare their rejection of any version of a Jewish Israel is as bad as a racist Nazi. It is a way of slowly normalizing the exclusion and the vilification of Jewish people in everyday public life. Jewish religion, history, culture, and demographics massively are aligned with the belief in a version of Zionism. Sure you can find a few token Jews who will say they are antizionist but 80% or more of Jewish people are aligned with some version of Zionism. Candidates like AES are willing to speak about Jewish safety in a vacuum as if the Israel issue is unrelated. They are absolutely unwilling to understand, let alone speak to, the unique threat that Jews are facing at this moment because of the way Israel is being treated on the left and on some spaces of the right (like with Tucker Carlson, who weirdly has endorsed AES).
I also cannot imagine what more you could do. I'm already honestly blown away by what an incredible ally you are

Isaac, you seem to be confusing her lack of virtue signaling and intellectualization with a lack of authenticity or clarity. What it seems like is this interpersonal experience with this man gave her a moment of profound clarity and insight into the nature of his character and how, despite his politics maybe actually being even more aligned with her, he would be dangerous and bad for this country, her state, and the people that she loves
Just because she didn't write a special essay postulating how, from a policy perspective, this was the most intelligent choice, does not mean that it was not noble and potentially extremely wise
I think she was brave enough to realize that she had made a mistake by endorsing him. That this person wasn’t fit for office and had demonstrated a truly bizarre reluctance to acknowledge even the smallest step in the direction of Jewish feelings around Israel. I think she was brave enough to make a change even knowing the wrath it would bring upon her.
I think it was brave and she will sleep better at night for the rest of her life.
We have to practice what we preach Isaac. Neither party is so pure that endorsing someone from the other party is off the table. Sometimes it takes a personal slap in the face (like he did to her) to have a wake up call. Good for her for actually acting on it
Isaac you’re full of shit here. A person can post all they want about being antisemitic or wanting safety of Jews in a vacuum. If they can’t understand how
Antizionism is making Jews unsafe and normalizing rampant antisemitism, then they are completely missing the point and not actually interesting in understanding or protecting Jews in 2026
Isaac, you got to check out the comments in here. There's something you're missing about AES. It is not just Islamophobia. There is something extremely concerning about his personality, his inability to build bridges, and his kind of Napoleon complex-level defensiveness and it's just kind of very bizarre
Many good-faith commenters here are not people who are voting Republican but have strong reservations or concerned gut reactions to the way AES has been running this campaign
@GiantETFphisher@Ike_Saul Yep this is it. I really wanted to like AES but he has just revealed himself to have a Napoleon complex and it's extremely off-putting.
As Bret Stephens so eloquently said the other day, what cabinet officials can any average member of the American left or college student spout the name of off the top of their head? It is only Israel where they make the effort to memorize the most extreme members of a society's names and use them to disqualify the rest of the country. They don't do that for any other country around the world and believe me, they all have their Smotrich’s
@BriannaWu@AynReagan It is so unimaginably dishonest and untrue. The irony is you get attacked for your Israel support and calling out antisemitism every single day so I don't know how this person is that out of touch. It's honestly very weird
@adam_louis52328 You nailed it, and I know your online presence has nothing to do with this, but damn you’re beautiful, this video it really hit me. Incredible brain, strong heart, and beautiful countenance
