Security is an architectural decision, not a final checklist. Secure defaults, least privilege, and careful data handling should shape software from day one. #AppSec #SoftwareEngineering

Good code explains what a system does. Good technical notes explain why. Capturing key decisions today saves guesswork later. #SoftwareEngineering #Documentation

@gocloudship @SamVale29 AI tells you want to hear so I don’t really see a difference lol

@HamzaZ82238635 @SamVale29 If you have had surgery in the last 10-15 years then you already are.

APIs are contracts between systems. Consistent responses, clear errors, and thoughtful versioning make integrations easier to maintain. #API #SoftwareEngineering

@DenisCerednice1 0% I have been coding for almost 20 years and I might be rusty at first but I will pick it back up pretty quick.

Passing tests isn’t the finish line. Monitoring helps reveal what happens when real users, traffic, and external services meet your software. #SoftwareEngineering #Observability

Code review isn’t just finding bugs. It’s checking assumptions, edge cases, and maintainability before they become bigger problems. #SoftwareEngineering #CodeReview

Don’t choose technology because it’s trending.

Start with the problem, define what success looks like, then choose the simplest solution that works.

Sometimes that’s AI. Sometimes it isn’t.

“Make it work offline” sounds simple—until you define syncing, conflicts, and failed connections.

Clear requirements aren’t paperwork. They’re part of good architecture.

A broken app doesn’t always need a rewrite.

Trace the data. Check the API. Inspect the logs. Find the root cause before replacing working parts.

Fix the actual problem, not just the symptoms.

A working demo isn’t the same as production-ready software.

Reliability, security, error handling, testing, and maintainability matter when real users depend on it.

Build for reality, not just the demo.

The best automation doesn’t just save clicks. It reduces repetitive work, prevents errors, and makes processes more reliable.

Automate the right problem—not just the easiest task.

@axhiii88547 Ones that require a more personal human touch that people really prefer a person and human interaction. Nurses is a good example.

Sounds about right 🤣🤣🤣

Software can have great architecture and still be a bad product.

If users can’t figure it out, the engineering hasn’t solved the whole problem.

Good software makes complicated things feel simple.

@jesusfranco @shariar_design Wow i remember coding with that, thanks for making me feel old lol

[Adam Blansett Full-Stack & AI Engineer @AdamBlansett]

A problem showing up in the UI doesn’t mean the UI caused it.

It could be the API, database, state, network, or data model.

That’s why understanding the whole stack matters.

@elonmusk How long before we are all dead?

[Adam Blansett Full-Stack & AI Engineer @AdamBlansett]

You don’t always need the perfect first version.

Build something solid, get it in front of real users, learn what actually matters, and improve it.

Sometimes shipping is how you discover what “good” really means.
