The UK now has the worst health system in Europe.
In 2011, the UK had the highest ranked health system in the world.
It took them a decade to destroy our NHS.
Whatever happens this morning to English especially London arts organisations, there will be a lot of upset and self-blame where there should be anger. Remember this isn’t the fault of arts leaders or even ACE, it’s 12 years of Tory austerity funding, followed by Nadine Dorries.
Sunak & Hunt scrambling to fill a £40bn black hole in treasury…
So remember:
£9bn wasted on unusable PPE
£2.6bn on items not suitable for NHS
£37bn on Test & Trace that made “no measurable difference"
£42bn on Brexit divorce bill
£32bn on lost taxes due to Brexit trade hit
Bringing the National Grid back into public ownership would save £3.7bn a year presently paid to shareholders.
Using those savings, after 5 years we could have enough wind turbines to power 1.25 million households, without an extra penny of investment.
Nationalise energy.
Rishi Sunak, with a reported wealth of over £730ml, told us it was the “right plan” to cut universal credit & raise workers taxes; and “silly” to help with energy costs. At the same time he gave £7.3bl of tax cuts to his banker mates.
We have the wrong people in charge.
Spare us the “at least Rishi Sunak is a grown up” narrative. In the leadership contest, he bragged about shifting money from poor communities to the rich, vilified benefit claimants, and doubled-down on deporting asylum seekers to Rwanda. Sunak is not a saviour - he’s a Tory.
The Conservative Party is unfit to govern. 12 years of failure, 5 Prime Ministers, and working people paying the price. We need a General Election now.
• Tories have announced that the next Prime Minister will be selected by an online ballot of Tory members only.
• Your reminder that Tories made it illegal for workers to hold strike ballots online. Must be done by post only.

We get it, and we have listened. We will no longer be hosting Human Jenga parties in the nursing home car park. It was the right policy at the wrong time. Apologies to all those injured, now let’s get back to work.
There’s something obscenely immoral about a governing party telling us we’re all too spoiled and reliant on the state so it’s cutting public services for our own benefit, while they themselves roll around in their trough handing out extravagant treats to their wealthy friends.
“This is theatre vérité at its best. And it is also a sobering fable about the motives that lead people into the medical profession and what can result if truth is allowed to be obscured by trust.” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | https://t.co/t5zZFnXQPV
