One of the most important things to know about this AI cycle is that no one knows what they're talking and even very smart and plugged in people are continually reversing their opinions and then re-reversing them three months later.
Some news: I'm starting Rhema Health with my cofounder Dave Moore, backed by @speedrun
Healthcare's core problems felt familiar: reaching people at scale, earning trust, getting them to act. That's what we did at Meta for billions.
Now we are applying those skills to help the 70M Americans on Medicare get better care.
Expect to hear more soon!
@antoniogm@perplexity_ai Agreed, this is completely backwards if they are trying to scale quickly. The right way is price as low, grow demand quickly, drive revenue via ads performance over time. My guess is OpenAI doesn’t want to scale quickly yet and pricing is a mechanism to reduce short term demand.
@nikitabier The intent behind this feature makes perfect sense to me - but the experience is awful. Crowding the bottom of the page with 3 layers (mobile web page, x bottom sheet and engagement) is so confusing. Also most web pages themselves are crowded in the same area making it worse.
@bgrables While I don’t support you being a bully- taking this investment as a stand-alone rather than in the context of the massive investments made across campus is an outrageous move
