this was a pro-tip! Been testing this out & agree. I've been using Codex & Claude Code plan mode antagonistically to see what the other thinks of their plan, incorporate the best feedback, then feed the loop again. Interested to see how this changes with Fable 5.

My personal take: GPT 5.5 for planning, Opus 4.8 for actual coding.

I feel Codex is vastly superior at the strategy/planning stage, but I feel the exact opposite with Claude Code on the coding stage.

Great to have them interplay with each other though.
