I'm 38.
I've been creating content on and off for 4.5 years.
And I'm STILL finding my voice.
Crazy...
Getting closer with every rep and digging the process
I'd rather lean into trust, patience, and grounded (not needy) energy.
I get MORE done. And my days feel better.
@MarcieMauro we gotta do a pod on this.
We told people ONWRD would be done by New Year's.
Then January "for sure!"
It's almost April and we're still at it.
For someone who's obsessive about keeping his word, that felt like a gut punch every time.
"How could you be so off here... Ugh."
(Lot of mental chatter).
Some of it was life. Some of it was stuff we didn't know we didn't know.
But all of it forced me to relearn the difference between a healthy deadline and an unhealthy one.
Because I still believe in time-based goals.
But when motivation and focus are already there...
@ellebeecher oh wow. This is the reminder I need (actually immersing yourself in the walks...for 3 YEARS).
Not only experiencing others' sharing but also witnessing your own emotions and limiting thoughts.
Appreciate this reflection
This is huge tbh. I remember an old member of GM and who wasn't a fit and was curious on how you guys handled that.
But more than just learning the words, or the "strategies" I feel that so many of us โ want the confidence or assuredness or resilience...that we too can speak our truth (with love) or hold the boundary AND know we're ok without too much mental/emotional sprialing afterward
When you recognize insincerity in yourself...you recognize insincerity in another's expression
When you recognize ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก within yourself...you recognize ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก in another's expression
@JTorreCoaching Yea. I think some can use it for fire... for motivation.
But yea, it's really not my business how others wanna think or feel about me
(and not in my best interest to ruminate)
I coach my son's travel basketball team
We are 1-7.
Playoffs is Sunday.
We're playing a team that crushed us a few weeks ago
I just got a text from a parent on our team
The other coach doesn't "respect us"
I'm sensitive to that.
My response: (and the truth)
"How they feel about us is NONE of my business"
Control what you can control
