The scientific evidence shows us that space, time, and matter had a beginning.
Logically, that means whatever caused space, time, and matter to come into existence must itself be spaceless, timeless, and immaterial.
Atheists believe in six miracles:
Something from nothing.
Order from chaos.
Life from non-life.
Personal from non-personal.
Reason from non-reason.
Morality from matter.
Theology 101: Too many people today confuse the true God who “IS love”—the Father, Son, and Spirit—and the false god “OF love”—Eros. The God who IS love forgives you and empowers you to escape your deadly sin; the god OF love encourages you to dive in and die in your life of sin.
God is clear. The wage of sin is death. The payment you receive for sin is death. If you don’t accept Christ as your substitutionary payment… then who is paying for it?
You’d be.
Socialism: You have two cows. Give one cow to your neighbor.
Communism: You have two cows. Give both cows to the government, and they may give you some milk.
Fascism: You have two cows. You give all of the milk to the government, and the government sells it.
Nazism: You have two cows. The government shoots you and takes both cows.
Anarchism: You have two cows. Keep both cows, shoot the government agent and steal another cow.
Capitalism: You have two cows. Sell one, buy a bull.
@warpox Faith does not require physical proof, but it is based on evidence, not blind acceptance. Therefore one can have confidence in their faith that they have good reasons to believe what they do. I do not believe atheists have a good reasons to believe there is no God.
@warpox Faith is confident belief based on evidence. And since there is more evidence in support for the existence of God, it takes less faith (confidence) to believe a theistic God does exist.
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
Faith is not blind. Assurance and conviction is based on strong evidence that gives you reason to believe beyond a reasonable doubt.
“The horse is prepared for the battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord.” (Proverbs 21:31)
What a great sermon yesterday at church to focus on what we CAN control and influence while not allowing our peace to be stolen from the things we can’t.
Obvious, but frequently-unpopular fact:
If you decide, based on the skin color / gender / etc of those involved, whose 'side' you're going to take in an incident, no matter how often you use the word you don't care about "justice."
