A great example of colorism is to believe I can be compared to anyone. I’m the youngest talk show host ever. The first Black woman to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, & the youngest & first Black Cinderella on broadway. I’m an incomparable talent. Baby, THIS, is Keke Palmer.
Attention is currency, so the more we talk about these school shooters and bring their name up, the more it will happen. Kids who feel denied by society and are psychotic enough to murder other people and himself simply for attention or infamy are going to mimic other shooters.
We have to agree to never publicize the names of school shooters and other publicity-seeking mass murderers. This is not a gun or even a "mental health" issue. It's an issue of malevolent narcissists weaponizing mass media. Stop publishing their names and the problem will end.
this constant pseudo-political activism is so unhelpful and childish(not to mention it’s on twitter, it’s all fake)
It’d be helpful for everyone to take a breath, think these things through and mourn, and guide your thoughts towards productive ways to be apart of the solution
@lboettcher50 @kstillings33 Our government is a joke and has been, that’s a given 🤣 But everyone is wasting SO much time talking about it. the idea that people will follow the laws of the government is hilarious. The problem is the complexity of the mind and the depth of evil it can reach. Unsolvable 😕
@lboettcher50 @kstillings33 He broke multiple laws to achieve the guns, so the idea that more laws will fix it is just provably untrue. Doesn’t mean that the government shouldn’t try, but this is no perfect world. Drugs are illegal, people buy them, sell them, abuse them. Murder is illegal, people kill.
The only thing that allows me to have a little bit of hope is that I would like to believe the children are in a much, MUCH better place now than where we are.
Sounds cliche and corny, but it really is hard to sleep tonight thinking of all the parents and siblings and friends and family that are experiencing IMMENSE emotional trauma tonight. Harrowing.
How do you, as a parent, move on from this?
