The new NYS budget is $14B bigger than last year's. That's an increase of 5.5%. The inflation rate over the year was 3.8%, meaning that NYS's budget grew 45% higher than the rate of inflation. The new NYS budget is bigger than the budgets of Florida and Texas combined, though they have between them 34M more residents than New York. The new NYS budget is a cancerous oppression of New York workers and businesses, and is a warning to the world of the excesses and waste of progressive politics. It is a crime against New Yorkers and their children.
