The whole Anglosphere keeps making the wrong choice on criminal justice.
No one with 30+ priors should be walking, but even in America, that's about 5% of all people who are arrested.
@thatguybg Yes, I get ads for them since I quit Zyn, although I just buy these for like $2 or whatever they cost at the grocery store, W to the Hershey Corporation
@TimFullerton Yeah ofc, but some do - a nice couple from NYC bought our old Austin home at the peak of the bubble (bless them for letting us buy our dream home just outside the city, they thought it was a great price too, everyone wins)
Reminder if you leave NY or Calif for Texas please vote for the opposite of what they're doing (we like capitalism, abundant energy, free markets, don't want government-owned grocery stores or rent-controlled price distortions, we don't demonize successful people etc)
"We'll ruthlessly enforce ridiculous regulations and take your house, but do nothing about the tent cities of vagrants smoking crack and carrying out reams of petty crimes just a few miles away" is the perfect encapsulation of the blue state model of governance: anarchotyranny
