3. His technical overview of transformers, pre‑training vs alignment, and emergent behaviour is broadly sound. Yet phrases like “grown, not engineered” and “approaching AGI” blur the line between what current models actually do and speculative futures.

4. The critique of OpenAI vs Anthropic mixes real governance differences with moral storytelling. All major labs operate inside power structures, defence contracts and commercial incentives. Labelling one “least evil” is a value judgement, not a technical conclusion.

5. His call for Islamic AI is important. System prompts and retrieval over Qur’an, hadith and fiqh can produce answers closer to mainstream Islamic positions. But this cannot be reduced to one person’s project; it needs transparent governance and broad scholarly oversight.

6. For Muslims, the right move is not panic or blind adoption, but disciplined engagement:
- treat projections as scenarios, not certainties
- demand transparency about the values embedded in AI
- build our own tools under serious scholarly and technical supervision
- and frame AI as a test of justice, truth and power, not as magic or destiny.
