Gave my parents the talk about how one day a robot may call them on the phone using my voice, answering their questions in real time, explaining with desperation that it's stuck on a highway near Des Moines & it lost its wallet & needs them to wire $850 to the following address
If anyone's heading to Glastonbury and looking for a treat, I'll be performing this year! I'm playing guitar for the inimitable Georgie Eliza at the Croissant Neuf Bandstand, Wed 14:00 / Sat 12:30.
Maybe see you there! πΈ
And so you get this vision of a super-intelligent agent which is nonetheless also a blind optimisation machine, and would single-mindedly pursue goals with as much ingenuity as we can imagine for the argument at hand - mixing up its levels of emergence. 5/n
@mikeduncan I'd love to hear the "crossover content" of you applying your Theory of Revolution (as described in Revolution's appendices) to the Roman Republic's fall. Perhaps something for if you ever feel nostalgic for HoR and Revolutions in the future?
