Private equity looted 3 Connecticut hospitals. Services cut, nurses buying their own supplies etc. They will do it to your hospital if we don't stop this trend right now.
1/ Today I'm releasing a report on the truth about private equity in health care.

The level of incompetence here is mind-blowing.
But what shouldn’t be overlooked is the specific substance of the group chat.
There was no emergency.
The executive branch unlawfully sidestepped Congress, taking military action that top officials admit was elective.
The discussion establishes unequivocally that the strikes in Yemen are unconstitutional.
When you get beat, you've got to listen to people who weren't sold on your arguments, so I listened to this from Dave Portnoy with an open mind. I'm sure a lot of folks who view themselves as moderates and voted for Trump feel this way. But I have some questions. 1/
Dear Democrats:
Many Americans (myself included) will be voting Democrat for the first time in our lives this November.
We’re not doing this because we agree with Democrats on policy; we’re doing it because we understand the need to stop Trump from destroying our Constitution.
If you see us non-Democrat Kamala supporters on Twitter espousing beliefs you disagree with, like on taxes or guns or whatever, try to let it go. Don’t be jerks. Don’t disparage and argue, expecting us to toe the Democrat line, because we won’t. We’re not Democrats. Being hostile to us will backfire and endanger our alliance.
We’ve made common cause with you in this election because our democracy faces an existential threat. We agree Trump is dangerous and we want to work with you to defeat him. Let’s be grateful for this mutual cooperation.
We can go back to arguing and being opponents after November. Until then, we have a country to save.
I try hard to stay out of the mud with stuff like this. But this is egregious and, in my opinion, harmful to our ability to advocate for coverage of these procedures in the future.
I am a proponent of orthobiologics to improve outcomes and give people options for care, but you must be aware of several things (A thread):
For all those saying “it’s about time” re the strikes on Houthis, perhaps may want to consider it takes a little time to put together a expansive multinational strike w/ precise targeting, multinational target packages, suppression of enemy air defense & electronic warfare…1/2
Oh and to make it worse, @Ford doesn’t provide courtesy vehicles so forced to rent a car from @Enterprise.
The @VW Taos I have been driving is quite nice…might be the time to make the switch from being a @Ford family if this is how they treat their customers. #disappointed
Extremely disappointed in the customer service provided by @Ford.
Dealer would not address a potential issue even tho @Ford notified drivers about it — now 6 months later it’s a problem.
But wait…@Ford won’t do anything now as it is out of the time frame to be fixed.

Wherever you start in life — that’s your gateway to the world. And Arkansas was mine.
Growing up here taught me to be hopeful, how to serve proudly, and how to care for someone else with real empathy.
I’m running for Congress to deliver battle-tested leadership for families in Central Arkansas.

A resident told me recently “doctors who are chatty and friendly with patients and their families usually are compensating for their lack of competence”
I asked them: “who hurt you?”
We have to be better
Years ago in galaxy far far away, children, many of them aspiring young athletes would spend their summer days and after school pre-dusk hours playing outside in backyards, woods and playgrounds all across America. These marathon sessions of movement allowed children to develop many basic physical skills. Games like tag and kick the can involved sprinting and numerous changes of speed and direction. Climbing trees or wrestling with friends developed total body strength and body awareness. Riding bikes or running on trails through the woods provided very sufficient cardiovascular benefits. As the children experienced more of these activities this foundation of physical skills grew and expanded. When the time was right as these children grew older they would use this physical foundation as a platform to learn and master more complex movements like the skills found in sports like baseball, football, soccer and basketball etc. Children played many sports throughout the school year and summer time was for vacation and camps. The words A.C.L. reconstruction or Tommy John surgery were literally non existent because young athletes were hardly ever exposed to one activity long enough to cause overuse problems...
Obviously things have changed. We can't go back to the 1980s but we can find inspiration from those experiences to pass on to the next generation. That's inspiration for this program!

Secondary school ATs,
I know many of you are feeling burned out right now and pulled in many directions. Fall sports season is a grind.
I see you (although not literally😉) and know you are busting your hump trying to keep kids safe and healthy playing the games they love.
"One more thing," the patient says, right when I'm about to exit the exam room.
I used to be annoyed by it. Until one day, a patient's "one more thing" was actually "the" thing she wanted to say. But she needed to feel me out and make sure I was a safe person first. So, I sat back down and listened. Then we discussed and ran tests.
"You restored my faith in doctors." She took the bus just to tell me this today after making a full recovery. Her visit filled my heart with warmth and purpose.
If we ask people to wait for months for their appointments, then (sometimes) hours in our offices, we can hear them out for their one more thing.
The Trump audio:
"See as president I could have declassified it. Now I can't, you know, but this is still a secret."
"Now we have a problem," a staffer responds.
Navy SEALs have a saying.
You may find it helpful.
When something sucks, they look at each other and say:
"FULL BENEFIT"
It’s an instant mindset shift.
• Hiking and it starts pouring rain?
• Driving and your car breaks down?
• Working on a project and lost a draft?
FULL BENEFIT.

LESSON: Adversity is an opportunity
The message is simple.
Every adversity is an opportunity.
• To grow
• To learn
• To evolve
• To get stronger
• To become better
These moments forge us if we let them.
The next time you're facing something hard, welcome it.
Work through the process.
Learn the lessons.
Reap the full benefit.

The @GOP is debating on condemning @potus actions on the China Balloon at the SOTU. If they do condemn, after the gang of eight and then other members it will only show how unserious they are about national security.
Why? A short 🧵 1/10
What are we seeing more & more in concussion research...
The days of being in a dark room, no screens, no activity (physical or mental), and staying out of school while symptomatic should truly be a thing of the past.
Time to get up to date if you manage concussions. #PRISM2023
I'm not sure people realize how big of a deal this is. High-altitude balloons might not be as sexy as autonomous weapons or hypersonics but I think they have the potential to be just as revolutionary for warfare, if not more so. 🧵 1/10
Okay, on the Chinese
balloon(s), I’m just gonna say…
Perhaps -and I’m just spitballing here- there’s a some really smart experts in the intel community & DoD who have assessed how to proceed in a more thoughtful way than all those saying “just shoot it down!!!”
