💢 New: Israeli strikes kill two Palestinians in Gaza; Israeli forces detain seven fishermen at sea

🔹Israeli attacks killed at least two Palestinians in Gaza on Tuesday, including one in a drone strike on the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis and another in a strike on a tent west of Gaza City, according to WAFA. Several others, including children, were wounded, some in critical condition.

🔹Israeli forces also detained seven Palestinian fishermen while they were working off the coast of Al-Zawaida in central Gaza, taking them to an unknown location.

🔹Israel has continued to target Palestinian fishermen through arrests, live fire, and severe restrictions on access to the sea, stripping thousands of families of their livelihoods and deepening Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.

💢 The death toll from Israeli attacks increased by 4 Palestinians in Gaza on Saturday, as Israel pressed its continued violations of the ceasefire, Maan reported, citing medical sources.

🔸 Hudhayfa Hussein al-Hawajri was killed and 4 others wounded in an Israeli strike on a gathering of people near the Abu Sharkh roundabout, west of the Jabalia camp in northern Gaza.

🔸 Mohammed Najib Ashour was killed and others wounded earlier in a drone strike on a group of people on al-Muraja Street, near the Asqoula junction, southeast of Gaza City.

🔸 The bodies of two men missing since Thursday were recovered from Beit Lahiya in the north: Bilal Hussein Khamis Abu Rabih, 46, a strawberry farmer, and Hamza Imad Jihad Hamdouna, 20. A third man remains missing.

Israel has continued near-daily attacks in Gaza despite the ceasefire that took effect in October, with more than 1,050 Palestinians killed since the truce began.

🚨URGENT: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s life is in immediate danger, Physicians for Human Rights Israel and his lawyer warned Saturday, after a prison visit revealed the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital bearing fresh, severe injuries to his head, eyes, ears, and neck, so disfigured his own attorney initially struggled to recognize him.

🔹Attorney Nasser Odeh, who saw Abu Safiya Thursday at the underground Rakefet interrogation facility in Nitzan Prison, said he arrived shackled hand and foot, escorted by masked guards, struggling to breathe and speak, unable to sit upright, and repeatedly on the verge of losing consciousness.

🔹Abu Safiya told him that after his Supreme Court appeal was heard June 10, four or five guards entered his solitary cell at Ganot Prison and beat him with a hammer and batons, and that since his June 24 transfer to Rakefet he has been beaten daily, losing consciousness several times without receiving medical treatment.

🔹“This is the last time you will see me,” he told his lawyer. “They brought me here to kill me. I don’t see myself surviving. This is the end.”

🔹PHRI notes the escalation in torture began directly after Abu Safiya challenged his detention in court. He has been held without charge since December 27, 2024, under Israel’s Unlawful Combatants Law.

🔹The group has appealed to Israel’s attorney general and prison service demanding his immediate transfer, an independent medical examination, and an urgent judicial visit “before it is too late.”
