Hot take: AI shouldn’t need a symbol at all. AI is the tech. It’s not the what, it’s the how. Why do we feel the need to highlight the tech? Feels very self-interested as tech workers and not necessarily user-centered.

This. As of November/December, I can’t get my PG&E bill below $500/mo. Lower usage isn’t translating to lower bills. Doesn’t help that it’s been unusually cold this season. It feels like PG&E is scamming us. Infuriating.

My gas bill is 15% higher last month than the same month last year BUT with 11.5% less usage.

2022: $0.90 per therm
2023: $1.19 per therm

+32% increase YoY
