Good morning! I am currently on the job market - academic or otherwise - and am grateful for either news of hires, or interest in training and development by myself and Emma Lowman.
We will be in Canada from this week until the spring. Get in touch if you’d like to work with us!
@DrAllyLouks Suffering from the success of your PhD thesis is next-level academia. Imagine your biggest problem being too many people wanting to read it. This is the academic version of going platinum.
@esjesjesj@MarcusCVance Excession is the best but you can’t read it cold or it makes no sense. Consider Phlebus is the weakest overall but one of the few (along with Use of Weapons 😱😭🤮) that stands alone.
“Have loved [player name]’s game recently but that’s an unacceptable [any kind of error].”
This is what happens when you have a team built on the assumption that, if we make zero mistakes and the other team makes many, we might win by one.
Look at the power plays.
@Steve_Dangle In before anyone says I’m over-reacting: they’ve lost 3 of 4, they can’t score on the power play, Holmberg is inexplicably their 2nd line centre, anything less than all-world goaltending is an automatic loss, and Knies has looked useless since his injury. This team is in trouble.
I wish I had done research that fake-pissed-off right wingers so I could have a contrarian career. Instead I did research that legit scared right wingers, so I’m unemployed.
Listen kids, it's not that Elon can't find American workers to do high tech jobs, it's that he can't find American workers to do high tech jobs for pennies on the dollar.
To be fair, Hockey Canada probably didn’t expect any negative repercussions for choosing a suboptimal team as they’re not used to there being any consequences for their actions.
There’s an academic I know who spends their time, even over holidays, posting about how bad they are at their job, they’d rather do just about anything else, the university environment just feels so hostile, their students don’t respect them, and mate please quit I need a job.
