@jonathontcole@CycloneCardinal@paulg Yes. Sen Manchin getting it down from $2-2.5 trillion to $500 billion. Won't be written about in the history books but should be.
@four3_m@justfactstruth My same view. Assume they sell well for the 3-5 yr power bottleneck, and yes also get a generous 10 yr maintenance contract with those sales...but the NPV of that is only $5 billion. Have to assume more persistence to make it material, but that's tough to assume.
@justfactstruth Seems reasonable to ask what FTAI's positioning is when AI bottlenecks stabilize and access to alternative / better aeroderivatives than used 25MW engines start to re-appear. Fair?
@justfactstruth That doesn't seem fair. Not knocking AerDerivs, just questioning FTAI's viability as a long-term winner in it. Additional "new points" here are 100 GWs of data centers coming online and GE et al being booked until 2030 - also relevant, no?
@RoKhanna .@RoKhanna would you support using Claude-powered weapons on the Ukrainian front?
Would your mind change if Russia started using ones powered by Chinese open source?
@RoKhanna Do you house the homeless in your spare bedroom, feed the hungry at your own table, or tithe your own wealth? Or is this just your expectation of others?
Your "values" are just property theft for the sake of a reelection campaign.
@BernieSanders Just as JFK was wrong about automation, so too will you be wrong about AI.
Prosperity comes from innovation. Poverty comes from technological stagnation.
@MattWalshBlog A group of Somalis that believe in private property, religious tolerance, and free speech are 100% more American than a group of White communists living in CHAZ that are descendants of George Washington himself.
@TMTLongShort Any good write-up on #3? Hassett spent all his time in first admin talking about dereg but seems to spend most of his time now auditioning for fed chair. Would love to write a thoughtful piece on the pipeline of dereg happening.
