When do big state numptys accept they are wrong, read a book, study history and realise that this is all predictable.
Study economics, understand money, accept incentives and trade-offs are real and abolish this class of useless politician.
I don't want Digital ID, now or ever - and I certainly don't trust the state with that level of power over our lives. I made my objections abundantly clear in Parliament this afternoon to the senior civil servants responsible.
This morning we announced our largest Bitcoin purchase of the year (so far). We acquired a further 83 Bitcoin, taking our total holdings to 2,830 Bitcoin.
Alongside this, we announced a reduction in our Coinbase credit facility to £16 million.
These two decisions reflect how we think about capital allocation and the long-term future of Smarter Web.
We want MORE to be the most senior claim on our balance sheet. I believe that building our capital structure around this principle is important to scaling MORE into the income equity we believe it has the potential to become.
At the same time, we want to continue increasing our Bitcoin holdings, particularly when we believe Bitcoin is attractively priced, whilst continuing to grow our operating businesses.
These objectives are not mutually exclusive. The opportunity is in balancing them intelligently.
I believe we have demonstrated to shareholders that we can make disciplined capital allocation decisions, balancing the opportunities for growth with the importance of maintaining a strong balance sheet. That approach will remain central to how we build Smarter Web.
What makes the future particularly exciting is that we now have two distinct equities trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
SWC, our growth equity, offers investors exposure to the potential growth of Smarter Web, our operating businesses and our Bitcoin treasury.
MORE, our income equity, is designed to provide investors with a different proposition through a cumulative variable-rate preferential dividend, payable weekly.
Two equities, two different investment propositions, but one company and one long-term ambition.
I believe having access to these different pools of capital gives us an incredibly exciting opportunity to scale Smarter Web, strengthen our balance sheet and create long-term shareholder value.

🇬🇧 This is proper British (oh hush you progressives)
A 76 year old man is before the courts with a test of equality before the law! … pay attention.
Timothy Miller was arrested for wearing a burka at an anti-migration protest. So he’s turned up to court wearing it AGAIN!
Because Section 157 of the Crime and Policing Act 2026 provides a defence for face coverings worn for religious observance… It doesn’t say ONLY women. It doesn’t say ONLY Muslims.
And the Equality Act protects religion or belief, while Article 9 protects the freedom to CHANGE religion. And clever Mr Miller says he’s “exploring Islam”
So now the court is screwed (not a legal technical term) and must decide whether his actions qualify as ‘religious observance’
Because the law must be applied EQUALLY, regardless of sex, religion or political opinions.
He’s challenging whether equality before the law really means equality for EVERYONE. (I think I love him)
And I think that’s bloody brilliant!.. now we have to see if the law is going to show its cards! … Will it discriminate against this white man? exploring his religion? … of course it will.
And then you will know … that this brave man took one for the team.
Come on Team Britain 💣
Anyone with half a brain hated the European Union
If leaving the EU hasn't worked it's because we haven't done the things we could have done. Leaving was necessary but not sufficient

Rant alert...
There is a serious problem with the "new left" and we are absolutely at war with them. This is a fight over freedom, free speech and the right to live as free people without their permission.
The old left cared about workers rights and working people having a fair crack. This nasty new left, the projecting fascists, want complete control. They don’t want to win the argument, they don't really want to have the argument and they certainly want to make sure you’re not allowed to have it.
They demand tolerance while trying to destroy anyone who disagrees with them. They will harass you, threaten you and attack you, even kill you.
They hate freedom, they hate free speech, they hate people being successful and they want to steal your property, all of it.
They hate the country, they hate you but secretly they also hate themselves. They are losers individually, so they have to collectively destroy things as a sign of success.
They are the architects of decline. Arrogantly confident in their beliefs, but too stupid to read history or understand incentives, trade-offs and consequences.
They will destroy everything, given the chance.
Don’t let them win.
@EdwardJDavey Postman Ed Postman Ed and his black and white facts.
Ed, you should be running marathons everyday to raise money for your victims. Your opinion is valueless.
I’m not going to agree with Andy Burnham on everything, but this statement needed to be said by a Prime Minister. After the Conservatives suppressed the truth for years, this took courage.
Cassava Flour? cassava flour is generally exempt from mandatory fortification laws.
Also gluten free.

As with the Bovaer fiasco, a lot of good is already coming out of the folic acid in flour fiasco.

I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.

@LeilaniDowding@NatWest This happened to me recently because I didn’t answer their call ( no caller ID so I didn’t answer🙄 ) I got an email on a Friday to say that they were going to freeze my account and recall my loan in full. I logged into my account and transferred my money to @HSBC 😉

Current pensions are paid for by current taxpayers.
Now do the math:
- Ageing population
- Falling birth rates
- Youth unemployment
- Wealth leaving
It’s a time bomb that too many voters are either too dumb to understand or just want to pretend there is a magic money tree that fixes it.
The only solution is a combination of high growth and lower taxes.
A socialist government can’t deliver either.
