The town of Abudwaq hosted a large public rally organised by the JSP political party, at which candidates campaigned for a range of positions in Galmudug State, including the state leadership.
Officials at the gathering urged the public to turn out in large numbers on polling day and exercise their constitutional right to choose the future leaders of Galmudug. The vote is set for 25 July, when Galmudug is due to become the second member state of Somalia to choose its leadership by one person one vote, after South West State.

President @HassanSMohamud presided over the graduation ceremony of Somali National Army (SNA) officers who successfully completed their military training in Mogadishu.

The President inspected a Guard of Honour and witnessed a military parade by the graduating cadets, commending their discipline, professionalism and dedication throughout the training.

President Hassan Sheikh also expressed his appreciation to the brotherly Republic of Türkiye for its steadfast support in strengthening the capacity and professionalism of the Somali National Army.
