My mother embodies this to a fault. Growing up, we’d pray for God to bring oppressive co-workers to repentance, for people who owed her and refused to pay or even answer her calls and so on during family devotions.

I fit tell you say I like dark skinned men, make you later see me with light skinned men.
I’m not a woman of my word.
Na who treat me right be my person😂🤲🏾
The best advice I heard from a stranger was this: give luck more opportunities to bump into you. Leave the house, take a different road, travel, say yes to new experiences. The more you do, the more life surprises you in the best ways.
Also Jesus is an incredibly caring person. There’s this miracle that stuns me, Jesus meets a man born deaf and mute, and he takes him away from the crowd to heal him.
I imagine Jesus knew that sound would have been bewildering to him for the first time and he didn’t want him to embarrass himself in front of a watching crowd.
I want a God like that, who doesn’t want me to be a freak show, who is mindful of me being restored privately without the prying eyes of others.
