Our first team of intrepid explorers has completed adaptive kayaking in the fjords of Norway. The extreme beauty, welcoming culture, and sea-to-table culinary delights made this trip a new fan favorite. Watch now to get a feel for life in the Lofoten Islands. #AdaptiveKayaking
Our founder, Val Jones, recently shared her story with the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO). If you're interested in how our trips came to be, read the inspiring story at https://t.co/uH1W0FchWl
Our amazing adventures have caught the attention of a major player in the locum tenens industry! Jackson + Coker recently featured us on their blog! Read the full story at https://t.co/pMrYiXmWSg
Adaptive kayaking makes paddling accessible for people with various disabilities. Some of our amazing participants with spinal cord injuries recently tried adaptive kayaking during our first trip to the fjords of Norway! Our guides were incredible at making this possible and hosting us on the water.
We're so excited for 2026... here is what we're dreaming of this new year!
On our tours, we don't cut corners. These are five star trips across every category! The best food, incredible stays, and beautiful views. Whether the destination is accessible or not, our volunteer team can get you there.
Traveling with people who navigate the world differently can be insightful and inspiring! Our adaptive team makes trips to the worlds most beautiful places possible... no exceptions.

Some of our tours intentionally include both able-bodied and disabled participants. All travel is educational, and traveling alongside others may give you a new perspective.

Here’s a few accessible travel tips⬇️
The reality of traveling with a disability is that accessibility is far from perfect. You can add some simple things to your carry on to assist you.
On board with an adaptive kayaker through the beautiful fjords of Norway. This is what we mean when we say “mountains are therapy.”
Many of our participants thought adventure like this was out of reach. We’re showing them, and the communities that we travel through, that this is possible.

One year ago this week we won “Best in Show” and “Most Memorable Booth” at the Annual Assembly of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in San Diego. #AAPMR
Not only do we work to create amazing adventures, but we’re changing what people think is possible.
The award is meaningful, but the conversations with doctors, therapists, and rehabilitation specialists were valuable in helping us grow our movement.
Accessible travel should be the experience of a lifetime.
We’re talking about…
✨ Hotels with the best views
✨ Michelin-quality dining
✨ 5-star stays
✨ Attentive and knowledgeable volunteers
Understanding accessibility needs is critical in planning #AdaptiveTours. It takes physicians, nurses, and therapists to make each trip-of-a-lifetime possible.

We don’t wait for a destination to become accessible, we go anyway.
❌ Separate itineraries and watered-down experiences
✅ The same epic adventures, made accessible regardless of the obstacles
That's the @adaptivetours difference.
