What radicalized me? Living through the second and third turning in a high-trust society and watching it all unravel around us despite the obvious signs of decline.

My eyeballs rolled back so hard that I saw the theater exits when they introduced the bad guy whom no one had heard of and with no backstory. I knew they'd kill him off because that's what Star Wars does.
By far the dumbest decision in the sequels was to introduce this new big bad guy - Snoke - and then kill him off with absolutely zero explanation of who he is or why he's important.
And then re-introduce the same big bad guy from the original trilogy because they ran out of ideas.
I also still have the iron I bought so my chinos would have a crease and the salsa and spaghetti sauce jars I use as glasses to this day. I call it my 'divorce crystal'.
In November of 1994 I had one foot in the gutter and barely two dimes to rub together. The divorce was sudden - I was out shopping for basics at Mervyn's so I at least had a bowl to eat from. I still have that bowl and after doing the math, it has cost me $.0001/day to use.
