The Nigerian system has made young Nigerians in Nigeria to become so little minded. Nobody dares to dream big, or have big plans ten years from now. It’s like a crime to dream and execute it, because the system doesn’t allow it.
A quick reminder: we can’t take any of our worldly possessions with us when we die, no matter how hard we worked for them. Let’s pause and enjoy the little things while we still have the chance.
My father died yesterday and today I’m in the hospital with my sister. She’s weak and keeps fainting. I’ll spend the night near her while my father is in the morgue.
I now understand how really lonely it feels when you’re trying to build a better life for yourself. It feels lonely walking to the top….I don’t know what it will like being at the top.
If you’re the one your family looks you in the eyes and say “you’re working hard to turn our lives around for good,” then you have a huge task on your shoulders. It’s not going to be easy to make yourself and loved ones proud, but also not impossible. Keep showing up, keep going.

I stay in my room on Sundays to spend time alone, to rest from a long week of workload. But to simply rest feels like I don’t deserve it. My body is used to working 😭
