Let's collab!!!! Love you all. Please don't forget, we are still trying to cover the beautiful Tammys surgery and help all the baristas with rent, so direct your friends to our gofund me in the linktree in our bio!
A week ago, we all lost our jobs @addacoffeehouse , and a week later we are closer than ever. The support for us been really overwhelming and we want to thank everyone for being out there for us this week.
Businesses require workers no matter what industry, and we are so proud to be a part of the movement with @coffeetreeunion and @LaPrimaUnited. Pittsburgh is a union town!!! Pittsburgh also loves coffee!!
THANK YOU to everyone who came to support us yesterday!! I just put more links to our news on the Linktree in our bio, if you want some more info on yesterday's press conference!
We also want to note—- we actually never got to the point of telling Sukanta the demands for our union, we only demanded that he recognized our union as existing— we weren’t just asking for money either!
Unions were a common feature in American life not long ago.
We're fighting to make them a pillar of upholding workers' rights and our economy once again.
We stand with Adda's employees and their right to unionize, and most importantly, we'll fight to expand their protections.
Sierra and Chloe, two of our lead baristas, are checking in with an update from right outside one of our former stores 👀
Also, please add your name to our petition to help us demand comprehensive severance pay from Sukanta!! Link in bio - thanks for your support💙
Rachel, one of our food preppers at Adda Garfield, is checking in to tell us how the store closures have affected them! Rachel’s story is just one perspective, and every single one of us in the Adda family has felt the impact of Sukanta’s decision in a different way.
Above all, we’re incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from the Pittsburgh community! Thank you everyone for continuing to stand behind us as we demand better severance pay and fight to hold Sukanta accountable.
